I have managed (talking slowly, and being very patient) to walk the local research librarian through the process of setting up an ILL. Maybe. Next time I might see if Collette can do it for me via GVSU.

BUT - if I'm right, I have two book coming that relate to household goods in archival records in the Netherlands. And one is even from Hindeloop, in Friesland! Thanks, Katherine!

I'm going to be a photocopyin', translatin' little fiend, I do think. ;-)

And in the process, I've even managed to find a new Museum to bug. *bwahahahahaha*

Wish I had the gift of the translation... not so gifted there, especially when texts are period on top of it.

Well, the other book is general Netherlands, confined to the 16th century. ;-)

Both are modern books on the period documents. So at least no transcription problems.

I've never actually tried ILL with GVSU. Never had to yet. But I'd be glad to look into it for you. :)

I was just athinkin' that University librarians do these enough that they don't do the whole "Deer-in-the-healights-I-must-consult-my-superiors" song-and-dance. I'll let you know if I find anything worthwhile. ;-) And it also depends on how THIS goes. It'd be easier not to have to make arrangements to get things from you (I could probably reutrn them myself). But we shall see.
