Which might seem a weird question, but as of 8 AM Monday I'm no longer on call - for two whole weeks. Provided nobody dumps on me. This weekend has brought me two parvo dogs and a pneumothorax - which was still alive last I looked. I got to bed at midnight last night, after spending MAYBE 4 hours at home all day total. *sigh* I's sleepy.

BUT, Sarah did lend me her copy of "The Great Snape Debate" which is keeping me entertained until the next Harry Potter book comes out. My idea of rapture - an uninterrupted week, with somebody around to watch Boo, a selection of snack foods and a comfy, fluffy chair to curl up in with Book 7. Too bad we can't afford to rent that house in Charlevoix we had last year.

Meantime, I've been paging through the link that Willemyne generously provided:

The serious "SCORE!!!" moment was finding the third woman on top in this image, who is labelled as Frisian. NEVER thought I'd get so lucky:

Also some other intriguing pages from nearby areas:

Serious coolness. Thanks Willemyne!

Now I REALLY will be on the look out for more leaves from this book:

It's an Album Amicorum by a Frisian named Johann Wissema. This lady was from Marburg, where Johann went to school.

*sigh* The leaf is for sale, here:

If anybody else has a better google-fu than I, and happens across more leaves, PLEASE let me know?

No more from the book I was so fascinated by, yet, but I did run across these:

Droolworthy at least from a heraldic art perspective. I wonder if they have more pages digitized that I haven't found yet.
