Is it Sunday yet?
I really just need this whole business to be done.
Apparently poor Mom ran all over her house today looking for the cake charms Wendy had sent along with me that I had entirely forgotten to give her. Until Dad had the sense to call and ask me. Sure enough, in with my Golden Seamstress stuff. Well, give me an assignment when I've been up for 37+ hours and that kind of thing will happen. Didn't mean to stress Mom out, though.
Got home, back to work sewing, and I can NOT make the pieces fit. Wasted about 1/2 an hour on the floor in tears. Sarafina, I love you, I love your stuff, but NEVER, NEVER again will you get me into Tudor. This gown is horribly uncomfortable, insanely hot, and is NOT going to look good, either. There is a difference of INCHES between the armscye and the sleevehead. Grrrrrr. Multiple gussets later I've SORT of got one side together. Must speak with Alaina before I go and monkey with the other side. This f****** velveteen is NOT forgiving.
I threw in the towel for a while on that, and finished Mom's chemise. My overgown is now hemmed. I put in the boning. Just needs another sleeve, the placard on the front and some hand hemming of the edges of the front of the skirt. I'm not contemplating what is left or I'll loose it again.
My back hurts, my fingers are actually bleeding, I've broken 4 sewing machine needles and I'm going to bed. Grrrrr.
