It does. Dad is a master woodworker, so slotting it into a new cabinet or even a scratch made cabinet are reasonable ideas. NOT compatible with Singers for the very reason that I want a White: Singers have the machine centered over the pedal. Whites have the NEEDLE centered over the pedal. Which means you're not shifting to the left so much.
The issue with VS White's is that they have a unique bobbin. I think I MIGHT rather have a rotary, since they're more common and have a more generalized bobbin. But it's hard to say if I should pass up an otherwise workable $50 machine.
