A&S 50 - For the CADD mind
Nov. 28th, 2008 02:38 pmIntrospection is supposedly good for the soul. The corollary is that it's also inherently bad for the ego. ;-)
By now, most folks have heard of the Arts and Sciences 50 challenges: 50 new things, 50 of one thing, 50 things your persona would have, 50 things from your stash....
My own personal variant is going to be finishing 50 UFOs. Now, I'm not going to ban myself from starting anything new until I've finished. Nor am I going to make a list of which 50 UFO's I'm going to do. There are enough around my house in various stages of completion (some just research notes) that I can go where the proverbial wind takes me.
Still, as I finish each, I'll post a picture here. Maybe it'll give me a sense of accomplishment. I need that at the moment, as the endless round of work, laundry, dishes, childcare doesn't have a lot of built-in job-well-done satisfaction.
If you, too, suffer from Craft Attention Decifict Disorder, and are being kept awake at night by your UFO's (especially when the pile tips over and falls on you), I invite you to join me.
