We might drop by "Call of the Waterhorse" this weekend, if we get time. I feel bad for some of the little groups in the region that have such trouble fielding events. This little Shire has seen Royalty twice in about 10-15 years (once when they hosted Regional A&S Faire, once for their advancement TO a shire).
And in thinking about eventing, we've come to a conclusion. We love our sunshade, it's very period looking. Dad made it, and it serves well. But (you knew there was a but, right?) it's rather small when we have the kiddos, and difficult to manage. Seriously thinking about buying a pop-up before Havoc. Maybe glue some fringe to the edge and cover the aluminum posts with curtains or some such.
I also might buy one of those cute little kiddie play tents, and make a less-garish fabric cover for it. Then Anneliese could have a little "fort" to hid in at events. Her stuff could stay in there, and she would feel a little less "exposed."
