Pause for Politics

If our Governor were any dumber, we'd have to put her in a sunny window and water her twice a week. *sigh* IN addition to adding to national economic woes within the state by single-mindedly attempting to ruin what of the state's business enviroment wasn't dead already... now this:

Michigan Meatout Day

Yes, Michigan has a collective weight problem (witness the number of Greatest Loser contestant who cal the state home).

Yes, fruits and veggies are good for you, most of the time.

But I'm pretty sure that (especially given the hard times we're in) eating meat isn't the reason. More likely, low exercise and the fact that foods with lots of empty calories tend to be a lot cheaper than healthier options contribute more.

And by all means, take a state reeling from loss of manufacturing jobs and try to club it's agricultural industry to death like a baby harp seal.

What truly astounds me was that she was surprised by the reaction. Only an arrogant, ivory tower, dingy liberal dip-weed so ensconced in Detroit politics that she doesn't realize the rest of the state even exists could even pretend that this was not a completely predictable result.

Can we tar and feather her? Please? At least sock glue and sequins?
