Dye question

I have some sea green wool, that I bought on super-duper sale. ($3/yd wool is not to be passed up). But I've really never seen this color in period artwork.

So I'm thinkin'.... overdye?

What are the chances that I can use blue dye to overdye this to sort of 'Kleves blue'?

Advice?
