It had totally slipped my mind until she E-mailed me directions yesterday afternoon, but I had indeed agreed to stop off on my way home and help someone new to the area fit a GFD. Bleh. I do better with that sort of thing if I have mentally prepared and I hadn't. Whoops.

BUT, we got it done in about and hour and a half. My index finger tip is swiss cheesy from trying to keep from poking her while I basted her in. But the fit finally came out well. I struggled a bit - there is nothing like trying to pull in that linen and baste it down to highlight arthritis in the hands. I need new thumbs. Mine stick.

And I brought her up to speed a bit on where she was now and the vagaries of the Kingdom. I get the impression that she was never in the SCA when she lived here but found it after moving away. So, while she's more or less native to the area, she's a relative stranger to the mid. Nice gal, hope she settles in here.

I also hate these W-T-F-S stretches. I miss having Thursdays off. *sigh*
