*sigh*

I had high hopes for getting stuff dun. Nopers.

This was hijacked by an amputation surgery, followed by a string of high-maintenance clients.

Bugger.

Ah well - Que sera, sera.

If I lock D'artagnan in the bathroom tonight, will someone send the Sewing Mice?

In order to limit my frustration (and lessen the chance of telling clients "Go be stupid somewhere else), I'm reassessing my to-do list and making some mini alterations in it.

I think I will bring the constructed kits and strips and pleat them on site on an as-needed basis. This will allow me to demonstrate how a pleater works, how to use it, and when not to.

In addition, those of you who wanted just a strip... are welcome to bring other fabric if you prefer. Anything of reasonable weight. So, if you'd like to bring a strip for a collar or some such, go right ahead. I'll also have muslin available if you'd just like a strip to play with the stitches. We can even do both - I'll pleat you a practice strip AND pleat your fabric to actually use later. This will work best with small strips, unless you know exactly to what point a garment needs to be constructed to pleat. (I CAN pleat panels for you, if we get done a little early and you want to just do separate smocked panels. Some of the housebook and hausfrau chemises are made that way)

In other news. Yay! Porjector! Which I might even get to use. It would be infinitely easier than just showing pictures on the laptop. ON the other hand - Ack! Power Point presentation! Gotta go put one together!

On top of this, tomorrow I have Pfizer's corporate vet coming in for a wet lab in anesthetics, my receptionist started booking my afternoon appointments WAY too early in the afternoon to accomodate that AND my eating lunch, and the parade of looney-toonies through the door continues unabated.

Glack.
