The weekend - at least in intent...
Apr. 21st, 2011 10:10 pmThings I'd like to get done:
Mail Marion's goodies back to her. ;-) Sorry it's taken so long, dear. I don't get a LOT Of time during business hours to get to the post office.
I'd also like to make up a smocking sampler, with photos of each stitch. Also diagrams and stitched samples of both the Van Dyke stitch and honeycomb stitch. That way I can get that up, as well as a piece on smocked fashions.
I was planning to make some jam from a period Dutch recipe. Now I'm not so sure. There is not a lot of point in bothering for Regional A&S - sending food stuff to Kingdom A&S is difficult, at best. Ditto for some of the other entry stuff I had contemplated. I'm not even convinced I'm going TO Regional A&S at the moment.... mlerg.
Is there enough interest in "toast and jam," as it were, to make it and put it up on the website?
Of course, my usual weekend chore of bread-baking is also awaiting me. I'm thinking of trying it with honey instead of sugar. The current recipe, while decent for GF bread, needs to be both a little sweeter and a little more hygroscopic.
Tomorrow is also Anneliese's IEP/MET meeting. So I expect to probably end the day and enter the weekend feeling like I've been effectively "drug through a knot-hole backwards."
