Doing sommersults whilst inside a vehicle = bad

Yesterday was a @&($&@ day. I had an emergency C-section come in, fouling up my morning so badly that I never got a lunch break at all. Then on the way home, I hit a patch of black ice, slid off the road and actually rolled the trucklet.

I'm fine. The trucklet actually is in decent shape - couple dents in the top, might need a couple of new rims. As I told the State Trooper - nothing injured but my dignity.

Luckily for me, I had a sneaking suspicion in might be more slippery than it looked, and I was only doing around 35-40 mph. Unluckily, once I got into the ditch, I hit a drainage pipe, which is what did the flipping. Apparently that stretch of road was rather bad last night. One younger lady stopped to check that I was OK, then told me she'd hit the same patch about a half an hour earlier and slid off the road herself.

Even the trooper was sympathetic. She didn't even ticket me. Just asked if it was a rear wheel drive truck, and nodded sagely.

So today, day off is spent in a damage-assessment mode. The trucklet is still in GR at Auntie Pam's house.

BUT, Boo loved Walking With Dinosaurs Live.

Hopefully today will be a better day.

WOW!!! lad to hear that you and the trucklet are doing fine! Ironically, I was teaching the kids about black ice last night as we were driving to the Y, sloooooooooooooooowly! Hang in there!

Not really so sore. ;-) A small whap on the top of the head from contact with the roof of the cab, but nothing more.

At least the Trooper didn't see the blood-soaked scrub top I had peeled off from the C-section. :-o

What part of town do you want to be near? There is nothing really near the site.

You can be out here near me by the airport (at about 15-20 mins away) or you could be closer into the city or downtown, which puts you farther away but closer to day after stuff.
