Ah, that's a story. Here's the nutshell version:

On an old Ancient History website/BB/community. We had a number of "yentas" among the community that sort of threw us into each others' paths. Correspondence began. A sort of "serialized" story with multiple writers - which was a story in itself. John was stationed in Okinawa at the time, and I was in Vet School. He came back to the states, and got stationed in Traverse City on recruiting duty. The rest, if you'll pardon the pun, is history. ;-)
