Never a good idea for me. I get distracted. Oh look, a butterfly!!
I want this dress. In blue:

And I know it's the Virgin, so who knows about accuracy, but I'm in a Massysy mood, so I want this one, too:

And while we're at it, I wonder if I should write the Getty and see if they have any more paperback copies of this one, since even Amazon doesn't. Darned if I'm going to pay THAT much for it. Even $55 is pretty steep, given that I haven't ever SEEN the book. But it looks cool:

Hmm, nope. Getty site says "out of print." Bother. Stuff and bother. Not that I could afford it anyway, but I could pretend I could afford the paperback. The hardcover is something I'd be afraid to even have in my house.
All right, Alaina. Motivate me to do wedding clothes or I'll be off on another tangent to the Uncharted Territories yet again. Oooh, a sparklie!!

Date: 2007-01-17 02:39 pm (UTC)But seriously talked to Jen last night and she wants to drive herself to and from GS cause she said she didn't think she could be gone 2 nights from the little leech. I said I was ok with that and wondered if she would be awake, but then again, she takes cat naps and should probably be fine. Really though I don't think she has any cash and while she wants to have fun with us, doesn't want to lean on us for the room. (that's my opinion in my head, you are the first I've told)
Got your sis re fitted for the dress pattern. She said the other one just kept on falling off her shoulders. Told her if that happens on the day, we just do the period thing and pin it on. She giggled at that, and tried her kirtle on with my hoops. She liked the look, so I am converting her petticoat to a hoop, unless I get disgusted with that and just cut it down to a cone for hoops. Eh, don't know, will do that when I get back.
