So, yesterday was a bit trying all the way around. It took me from 8 AM to a little after noon to clear my surgery schedule. Including one procedure I hadn't done in eons - so I made Marlene hang out until I was past the tricky bits... just in case.
Then I stopped off at Lucia's for the first Fitting. She had a pattern that Alaina had sent her that was about 4" from meeting in the center front. Which I chalk up to the vagaries of trying to measure yourself. So I managed to redraft just the front pieces, put the toile back on her, and get a decent fit with just some minor tweaking of the side back seams. Yeah!! We talked about the construction details and what sort of underpinnings she'll need. Now I need to sit down and compile my thoughts so I won't be totally confused later.
Since I couldn't find the notes I was looking for on the corset construction, we opted to hold off on the Venetian until I can shake down my sibling for better directions.
I have the day off... at least until Boo gets home from school. So I'm off to go create havoc where I can.
