Careers and The Great Wide Universe
Jun. 28th, 2009 02:33 pmSo, John has applied for a job in Orlando. I am trying to keep a "Que sera, sera" attitude going.
He's not really quite qualified, though close. But that half the time seems not to matter, anyway. I suspect he has a shot at it, karmically - as I regard his getting it with equal parts delight and sheer terror. Contemplating a cross-country move makes my blood run cold. But for this, I'd do it.
And I need to keep telling myself that I am not in charge of these things.
I'm very good at giving over my worries and troubles to the Good Lord when I go to bed at night. And seem compelled to take them back again in the morning.
