Ah, the Electricity of it All
Sep. 24th, 2009 11:25 amLooking through my list reminds me (which should tell you how long I've just lived with it) that the electricity is still out in my upstairs bathroom. THAT will need fixing. I think it's just the need to replace one of the outlets. I'm not sure which, though. John has tried the RFID outlet repeatedly, to no avail. But each time he's turned the power back on, it's lit up "miswired". So I think it's him. Might have to drag Dad out to fix that one. *sigh* Maybe I can make a "Dad Date" for him to help fix the whole thing.
"DIY Donnie," from whom we bought the house, laid vinyl floor directly on the floorboards - no subfloor. So it's all pulling away from the edges. Which means - pull up the vinyl, lay a new subfloor, replace the toilet (the jury-rigged flush mechanism there is another story yet), put in a new floor, and fix the electrical. And repaint the horrible sponge-painting job. At least the pocket door is in good shape.
