Fine Details
Aug. 26th, 2010 05:27 pmProgress is being made in the assembly of an initial class schedule for RUM. Still room for more, if anybody is interested, though!
Since
ablackram and I are planning a very hands-on smocked shirts/chemises/collars class. I'm thinking about having something else ready as filler (in case somebody doesn't show). But I'd like it to be less intensive for ME, in terms of what I need to bring. I'm wondering how a portrait-based class on 16th century German Regional styles would go. Something that addresses the variations and why you can't combine element from different regions. Thoughts?
On a more personal note:
The gauntlets I'm knitting for Mom are coming along. Cashmere/silk yarn is yummy to work with. I also stopped by at Creative Fringe to pick up some beads for the knitted shawl. I got a selection, since I'm not sure which will end up looking best with the yarn. Both because the yarn will look different knitted and because the beads will look different spread out. So we shall see.
Prep work for a gluten-free trial has begun. I may have to learn to make macarons. And hunt up other treats for the girls. Somewhere I still have the issue of Mary Jane's Farm with the GF cream filled cupcakes and twinkies.
