Well, the trip had it's ups and downs.
John and I had a communication issue... ending up with Rori not having any shoes with us. So no toddling.
Still, the girls thoroughly enjoyed our run down to the Disney Vacation Blub presentation and the dance party with the Fab Five afterward. We have video. ;-) Rori actually refused ice cream in favor of strawberries, to the delight of the staff.
*sigh*
I want my DVC. So close.... and yet... so far.
We bought an I-pass in Schaumburg. Called to activate - we were told 30 minutes for IL, 24 h for Indiana. Meantime, went to call Sarafina and could not find her number.
Rori came apart from lack of sleep, so I didn't really have time to shop at Janie and Jack or Hannah Anderson to speak of. John went into The Art of Shaving, and came out with the conclusion that he knows nothing about shaving, considering he's been doing it for years.
On the way back, the *@#&^$*@^%#$ I-pass wouldn't work. But finally home, and the basement at least is nice and cool. John had put the girls' air conditioner in before we left, and we'd turned it on, so their rooms were pretty decent.
We put ours in tonight, and our room should be OK by now.
I did get the whitework cap 50% done on the trip. Pictures and articles soon.
Koln/Kleves/Westphalia article about 1/2 done.
Time for bed!

Date: 2010-05-24 10:55 am (UTC)Well, 7 hours into the trip, I couldn't find much. We'd ended up forgetting Rori's shoes, her bottle, the bag of cheezits I'd set out, the iPod, and a number of other things. Ah, trips with kids. ;-) Ended up getting them yogurt and Organic cheese puffs as a snack at the Whole Foods in Schaumberg.
Gotta get the crazy I-pass to work right. We're likely to make one or two trips more this summer. One with Paul and Lisa, and maybe one with Mom and Dad. Provided I can still convince Mom to go.

(Ya know, I should tell my alma mater that offering JSTOR access to members of the Alumni Assoc would be a way to get me to join)
Thanks!
