Tornado Brain

I haz it.
I'm finding that I don't really go through the "12 stages of grief" thing progressionally as regards the girls and their diagnosis. Rather, I cycle through them repeatedly like a ferris wheel. *sigh*
So my brain finds other things to do. Write people in for awards. Twiddle with crafts. And right now I'm making some GF bread with King Arthur's new HiMaize fiber supplement. We'll see how THAT goes - maybe it will help Rori out some.
I'm consider order some of their pain au chocolate sticks and making chocolate croissants. I wonder if I can adjust The Tartelette's GF puff pastry recipe to work for that? That, of course, presumes I can find any millet flour, as I have none. She says you can substitute cornmeal, but I'm not sure the cornmeal I have is GF.
I've also signed up for the Daring Bakers. Which, if you read The Tartelette, and I recommend her highly, you're familiar with already. Basically, two people who love baking have set up this highly complex intarweebs system that amounts to everybody who is part of the group baking the same challenge recipe every month, and posting the results to their blogs on the same day. I've started a separate blog for this, as LJ just won't do and the other is dedicated to vintage stuff (back to that very soon, I promise). However I started it on WordPress and I am now hating on WordPress as they don't give you access to the template CSS unless you pay them for it. *grump* At least Blogger lets you do whatever you like with the look of the site. Bah!!
Anywho, I'm rather fragilely upright and in control of myself (despite the week from hell that started with 5 euthanasias and DOA on Monday and totaled out with a furry body count over a dozen...) and should be doing more normal "me" stuff again soon.
Thanks, again. Y'all are the best.
