More on Uniquitude - and FumbleBunnies

We've met those who possess Uniquitude - the passion to pursue something off the beaten path and the 'tude to tolerate the attitude to the others.
And then there's the FumbleBunny - Sometimes excellent craftspeople, the FumbleBunnies glom onto things and can only parrot, reproduce, and generally imitate.
Now, we're all re-enactors, so don't we all do no more than replicate? Yes and no. Let's look at some of the variations:
Uniquitude begins in familiar territory, and then spots the Road Less Traveled - and so begins the journey to something new. FumbleBunnies can only follow where someone else leads.
The pronouncement is made that "You'll never get Laureled for 'x', everything about it has been done - you need to find something new." Uniquitude shrugs and returns to the object of it's passion - content in the knowledge that even Queen Elizabeth's closet has not been plumbed to it's depth. The FumbleBunny immediately switches gears - first surveying to Kingdom Laurel site to be sure there is no one on it already Laureled in their new "interest." And begins research in something they might not really deeply care about - but feel they're more likely to get cookies for.
Uniquitude lives for the thrill of discovery. She explores other people's research for ideas, hints, threads, confirmation - but understands all the while that the little "spark" of inspiration gleaned from each source is important and deserves acknowledgement. If Uniquitude has seen new horizons, it's with the lens of others' research. Likewise, she understands that her own perspective adds something to the whole. The FumbleBunny observes others' research, and then replicates it. She may or may not give credit - but she uses others' research as it is, without adding her own information to it. She learns a skill - and teaches it to others AS a skill, but without understanding.
At apogee, Uniquitude understands that her area of interest does not exist in a vacuum - that those things that came before, happened after, or come from other areas nearby are all pieces of the puzzle that make it what it is. Bit by bit, the entire picture will be revealed, through patience and persistence. The FumbleBunny is interested in only one thing. Blinders firmly in place, she refuses to be bothered with anything other than her singular interest. And thus, misses nuances.
Hence, Uniquitude teaches out of a sense of excitement and desire to share. She wrestles with distilling her information down to bite-sized chunks. And distills, and distills again. And yet, during class, is easy to get talking about aspects that were cut from the notes for length, because of her love of the subject. The FumbleBunny has learned a Skill!! But nothing more. And so, she makes a handout out of the handout she kept from the class SHE took - and just parrots what she has learned. (And there is a place for some of this - the trouble is that FumbleBunny doesn't understand the difference).
And I'm tired now, and I'm off to bed.
