Interesting Day

The general update so far:
The Parchment for the Great Project is being pressed flat under a sheet of plywood and some heavey weights. Meanwhile, I practice the new Russian hand.
One of my old school buddies (and I mean elementary school!) managed to find my on LJ. Hi, Tiffy!! We DID go to HS together as well, but it was a big school and we never did have any classes together past 6th or 7th grade. Sheer luck of the draw and my odd tastes in electives, I think. She's turned into quite the craft maven, and I think we could have an impressive natter when/if we meet up again. I'll bet the "I'll show you my stash if you show me yours" could get quite intriguing. I also find it neat how many of our interests still align. She's excited about Harry Potter movie tickets, and I've just been trying to decide if I want to get the new book from Amazon or try to find it locally. I suspect she has a greater sense of, hmmmm... Community Responsibility? than I do. But then, she always did.

Which I remember from Catechism as the place where the "Canons of Dort" where written, defending the Reform theology vs. Catholocism. Interesting, wot?

Mostly men, but I do note a couple of those "duck-billed" cloaks. Those seem to be a very common feature. Must go on the "to do" list.

Thanks to

Date: 2007-07-12 07:13 pm (UTC)Heh, I recently went on a trip to Portland Oregon, and I spent almost my entire vacation budget at the local yarn shops (oh but the pretty yarn I got!). My stash isn't really huge compared to some, but it's sizable. Plus, there's a big fabric stash as well.
It is really exciting to find out that after all these years we still have things in common though. I'm glad to have found you!
As for the Harry Potter book, I'm buying it at the local Barnes & Noble at the midnight party. Mostly because my birthday is the 23rd, and I want to hole myself up and finish it before I'm exposed to the internet and all the spoilers. It's not community responsibility, it's just pure selfishness. :)
