Lookie what _I_ gots:

I found this whilst digging through my stash. There's not a LOT of it, but I wonder if there is enough for that Westphalia jacket, if cut carefully. Maybe with chocolate brown velvet guards and skirt?

I'm thinking I might add a small tapestry piece and a handspun, knitted Monmouth cap to the A&S list. Or maybe knitted gloves - Alaina did you have a pattern? Meanwhile, I'm entertaining myself knitting socks for Mom. She's always cold in the winter, mostly because she has no body fat. She'll either adore them, or thank me politely and stuff them in a drawer. No way to tell which.

I'm making my shopping list for Fiberfest, too. Trying to kill time, since Mom (I love her dearly, even when she makes me nuts) bought me a copy of Harry Potter. I just have to wait (!@*$&%!*$&*!$) for it to wend its way to me. My sister has it, but I asked her to hand it off to Alaina, whom I'm likely to see sooner. Especially since I'm not on call next week and might beg to come visit for a sewing fix and fitting help.

And for anybody keeping score, Darling thought his interview went REALLY well - and so is trying to to hope for fear of the disappointment if he doesn't get the job. Happy thoughts?

I think I need to make a list to take to fiberfest too. I'm about 75% sure that we're going, and I know that without a list I'll be overwhelmed and either not buy anything, or buy random pretty things without a plan. I need PLANS! :)

nope, no pattern, but I'm sure with a little looking we can find one. I know there is one at the chicks booth that I got the slippers and glove patterns. Main room by the big slider door. I think the chick with the featherweight fru fru patterns for scarves has one too. Will check with Amanita too, cause she has some odd knitting patterns.

Thanks. It's a home dec fabric I got a couple years ago for like $3/yd. Probably a cotton/rayon blend of some variety. There's only about 1 3/4 yd. of 60" wide fabric, so I've been debating what to do with it.

Saragrace sent me more info on the Westphalia jacket. They're longer than I thought - so there's not enough there to do one for Darling. But maybe if I can find a nice portrait to work from for me.

*sigh* back to Bildindex.
