Feelin' Vintage
Sep. 18th, 2008 10:04 pmWell, when my brain wasn't racing like a hamster on a wheel today, I had a few good moments.
1. Travel Channel Disney marathon, culminating on their new piece on the Vacation Club. Someday.... Still, it helps mellow to just sit and watch.
2. John brought me back some hard ciders from Sicili's to try.
3. Finding my copy of Itty Bitty Nursery. Yeah! Now, to save for the Cashmerino to make the cupcake set for the little moppet.
4. Looking through a new book at Barnes and Noble - Gotta have it. So onto the wish list it goes. She has a blog as well that's fun. This book is also on my list. It's getting to be that time of year, after all.
5. Spending a little time (Surprisingly little, actually) in the kitchen singing "Coca-cola Cowboy" and making Nigela Lawson's Coca-cola cake. It's Dale's (the groomer at work) birthday tomorrow. He's turning 60. I thought a vintage recipe was in order. >;-)
6. Finding this E-bay store for John. I think he's already planning the 30's deco/World's Fair themed wet bar he someday intends to install in Maison Stockley. When we can afford to build it.
Makes me feel a little better about things in general. Funny how I'm indulging in vintage stuff just when Wall Street teeters on the edge of another Black Monday, wot?
