femkes_folliesIt's booger-freezin' cold today. Windchill around -3. And, while a White Christmas is pretty much a given in West Michigan, 3 Freakin' feet is sort of overkill.
At this point, the forecast is for an additional 8-10 inches this afternoon into tonight, and a "wintry mix"* for tomorrow. Soooo.... I'm thinkin' we won't leave for Mom and Dad's until Christmas Day. Probably late morning or afternoon. I'm not willing to chance the weather.
In the irony department, about a week after rolling the microtruck (which only has PL/PD on it), I got a check from my insurance company refunding part of my premium as my rate had dropped. ?!?!? Eh??
The baby has been up every two hours or so for the past three nights. Not sure if it's more teething, gas, or some combination - or something else entirely. Sleeping all night was pretty much a B.C. (Before Children) phenomenon anyway, but I could use a little more than I'm getting. My mind is goofy enough that as I feel my way down the stairwell in the middle of the night, I think to myself "It is completely dark. You are likely to be eatne by a grue."
I'm unlikely to get all the Christmas stuff done that I'd like to. And I can't find the jar of brandied cherries I made anywhere. Apparently the grue likes brandied cherries?
