Hypothethical CD

For those of you who follow the occasional fits-and-starts of research I plunk down here from time to time...
I'm thinking of putting together a CD of translated articles, images, and other research tidbits that related to my costuming research. Especially stuff I can't really post out on the web due to copyright type things. Would you be willing to fork over a couple bucks to cover the cost of discs and sleeves for such a thing, if I were to carry them along when I teach a class?
Secondarily contemplating upgrading my lj account so I can do actual polls....

Date: 2009-04-15 06:34 pm (UTC)There are articles in a couple of the Dutch journals on Regional 16th century dress, and those 24 portraits specifically. There was also one from I think the 70's or 80's that includes photos of some of the other collection of similar paintings that are now in private hands.
I also have one on some Dutch knitted hats from that period that were found and documented by the archaeology team that I'm working on.
If there's something specific, it might just alter the order in which I do things.
(note: I've been evaluated by a professional consultant who pronounced me to be "Profoundly gifted, just short of terrifying gifted" but with a personality that programmed me as a "scanner." I like to learn new skills, but as soon as I master something - I move on. Therefore, requests do not distract me - they act as butterfly nets, and help me to pin down specifics)

Date: 2009-04-15 06:35 pm (UTC)The wills are likely to take the longest, as I'm deciding that I may have to build a glossary of period Dutch terms for specific garments to make any progress at all.

Date: 2009-04-20 01:25 am (UTC)I just figured out that I really need to go root around in a couple nearby Uni libraries. Both are christian schools, associated with different branches of the Reformed denomination. Both heavily associated with Dutch immigrants, and maintaining pretty extensive collections. There might be stuff there I don't know enough to even search WorldCat for. ;-)
