I was glad that me local radio station had Doug Stone in the studio this AM. He's cut a new album after 10 years, and the new single is "What a great problem to have." It was good for perspective, since I'd walked out the door this AM leaving behind a broken dryer. Hopefully it will get fixed tomorrow. Without costing us too much.

And my baby has her first loose tooth. *sniffle* I was hoping her language skills would be better before we got here, since I can't really explain it to her. I predict an Angry Muffin at some point.

I had to come in late last night to deal with a Parvo puppy that was a F-up case from On High. Grrrrrr. And the owner of this little dog has more loose screws than a Do-it-yourself Eifel Tower kit.

BUT, I do seem to have hit a costuming niche I'm happy with. And I appear to be getting far enough into it that I'm even finding stuff that some of the people I respect find interesting. Which makes me feel like I'm at least not treading ground that's been done over and over and over again. Kind of a thrill. And I do appreciate all the supportive comments, too. Even an "Oh, that's neat!" makes me feel good sometimes.

I DID get signed up for the 3rd Hogwarts Sock Kit Swap. I like swaps, its fun to get stuff in the mail, and almost more fun to put together one for someone else. And, hey, this weekend is Fiber Fest. Fun and frolic with Alaina!!!

So... I had no real point here. And I'm off to try to dig up more Dutch goodies. After lunch.

Master Mordak's parchment is nearly flat. I don't really want to take it out of the press until the air dries out a little anyway. The other day it was so humid that the water was condensing on my roof and dripping off in sufficient quantities that I had a wet line around my house. I'm also practicing my calligraphy and have gotten far enough to be trying to determine how much space the text will take with various sized nibs. Then I'll switch to gold ink and try again, as that tends to spread a bit more and make for slightly wider letters. The difference will be appreciable in this sized text, though. I'm also working on some concept sketches to finalize the layout.

I've also been trying to map out the locations that the various paintings (that hopefully have all survived and if I'm REALLY lucky will be pictured in the catalog. And while I'm shooting for the moon, photographed in color).

I present the map )
