Is it that time already?

Andelcrag's Baronial Althing is this weekend. I'm not really in the mood, but as I'm always susceptible to begging, I'll be going anyway. Who am I to deprive the Regional MoAS of a judge, after all?

Though I just noticed that Boo has nothing to wear. So tomorrow I get to rip through my fabric stash, bring my sewing machine to work, and try to knock out something for her to wear. I'm pretty darned sure nothing I've made in the past will currently fit. Darn those growth spurts!!!

Darling is also going to need new garb soon. At least something to look halfway decent and be comfy in for the summer. His weight loss program continues apace. His knee has been imrpoving as well, so he also went to practice for a while last night. He has decided that while he's made progress, he has a lot further to go. He's busily fantasizing about getting under 200 lbs. I think that's overkill m'self, but who am I to tell him he's unlikely to revisit his Boot Camp weight at this point in life? In the meantime, hopefully I can get him a looser style cotehardie done for the summer months. Then maybe something more fitted for Fall and Winter in a more formal fabric. I think I'm also going to have to take some of the mounts off his belt, punch some more holes, and replace the mounts on the other side.

So many things I'd like to get to... so little motivation to do it. :-( I'm hoping to acquire a daylight floorlamp soon, so I can at least manage embroidery in the evenings in my chair downstairs. Otherwise it's just WAY too dark down there.

Off to get a few things done. I'm hoping to round up whatever orthopedic instruments are around the office and make sure they're sterile, as it looks like I'm going to have to do an FHO in the next couple of weeks. And I have a Dr's apt this afternoon. Being a good doobie, I'm just leaving for it and coming back - rather than taking a day off this week. However, I think I'll try to hit the BP with the fleet card to put gas in my truck. Boss Lady gave it to me to use to commute - which I don't bother with because 1/2 the time it's maxed out anyway. And I have to really go out of my way to find a BP station. For today, I'll make the effort. If I'm running back and forth between Whitehall and Spring Lake twice today, darn it, it can be on her nickel.

Sir William Ransom is a coate hardie guy too and does an early version in the summer months so he can roll up his sleeves and roll down his hosen! Will always said it was ultra comfy in the heat!
